Various aspects of the social housing topic are central in the political agenda because, in the current so-cial and economic crisis, the “housing question” has turned into a “housing emergency”, involving new segments of the population with different social profiles in all regions of Italy. Today social housing has become a prime concern for Public administrations and au- thorities responsible for social policy making, and the “house” seems to have become a priority for the government in Italy as well as in other European Countries. The common objective for all the studies presented is to achieve a full consensus between the activity of enquiry and research and the socio-economic and technological-environmental changes currently under way in our Country, creating the conditions for a positive knock-on effect involving a renewed housing demand (with different forms, user profiles and modalities for spatial organization and perception), the requirements of the building sector (increasingly conditioned by the lack of public funding and the search for new market segments), the en- ergy requirements (imperative in view of the introduction of normative standards) and the operational tools of programming, design and management of interventions and technical regulations (which do not always favour or support public and private interventions).

Abstract
Various aspects of the social housing topic are central in the political agenda because, in the current so-cial and economic crisis, the “housing question” has turned into a “housing emergency”, involving new segments of the population with different social profiles in all regions of Italy. Today social housing has become a prime concern for Public administrations and au- thorities responsible for social policy making, and the “house” seems to have become a priority for the government in Italy as well as in other European Countries. The common objective for all the studies presented is to achieve a full consensus between the activity of enquiry and research and the socio-economic and technological-environmental changes currently under way in our Country, creating the conditions for a positive knock-on effect involving a renewed housing demand (with different forms, user profiles and modalities for spatial organization and perception), the requirements of the building sector (increasingly conditioned by the lack of public funding and the search for new market segments), the en- ergy requirements (imperative in view of the introduction of normative standards) and the operational tools of programming, design and management of interventions and technical regulations (which do not always favour or support public and private interventions).File | Dimensione | Formato | |
